FashionToast.

This is Rumi. I'm constantly on her blog Fashiontoast. I just love the mix of great style and beautiful photography. She inspires me so much, but i'm not brave enough or edgy enough to pull off her effortless looks. Plus she's given a lot of designer items for free (As she is a working model).
Herself and her life is beautiful.

Diligent chic

The calm before the storm... Or shall I say the neat/smart/cleanness before I turn into a muddy tramp for the weekend at CREAMFIELDS! So excited. Not so excited for being dirty for 4 days. But I guess thats all part of it!

Crazy Shirts.

OMG. I totally forgot to post this photograph I took when at Bewl Water on sunday. We were walking along the lake and I came across this couple looking at the boats. I just love how crazy they looked with their clashing shirts. I hope when im 50+ teenagers see me and think i'm crazy like this. In a good way. These two definitely made my day.

Festival Maybe's

I've been thinking about the outfits I want to wear at creamfields festival. I love festival fashion because you can really express your individual style - and I love how crazy people get with fabrics and accessories. I'm thinking my leather shorts as everyone wears denim! But i'll be taking those as well... You just have to do feathers with festival fashion. This outfit is just a basis - i'll probably change the top and wear more accessories.

Bewl Water

Happy Monday. I kind of wish it was still yesterday. I had such a lovely day with the bf in a park called Bewl Water. We had a picnic by the lake, luckily the sun was out most of the day. It was a good opportunity to take the camera out (hence the focus filled images above) unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take a proper photo of my outfit for the day - but it wasn't anything special.

I wore my new oversized jumper (seen in previous posts) and my newly bleeched and destressed denim shorts, which i'm still working on. I'm going to buy some studs to put on the missing back pocket. I also tied my newly brought skull scarf to my not so nice straw bag to make it a little less 'school girl'. You just have to pull out the straw bag in the sunshine. At least once.

MKA Olsen

Cannot get enough of these two. Love the simpleness (if thats even a word) of their style. Just give me their wardrobes already!

Silver and mint green skulls

Today i'm working in my parents office keeping my best friend company (who works for them). This gives me a chance to start my summer project. Argh.
Today I went for the mint green nail varnish. I'm in love with it at the moment. The skull scarf and khaki top were also purchases from yesterday...
I'm thinking sushi for lunch. Mmm

Buttoned Up.

This image is from a online mag I just discovered 'oyster magazine' They shoot daily outfits and post them on the site. I LOVE this outfit. And i'm starting to realise I've got a current obsession with leather. I really want a pair of black leather shorts.
And I wish I was brave enough to pull off the 'buttoned up' look. I find I always feel to boyish when I do! Still going to try it again.

21 Miles.

Yesterday I went on a 21 mile bike ride along some of the south english coast (Rye to Camber Sands) I didnt realise, however, it was going to be a 4 hour long 21 mile journey, and I probably wouldn't have done it if I knew! (It was hard!)
I don't do sports gear or own a pair of trainers... So the thought of a bike ride (without sounding shallow) wasn't the easiest thing to decide what to wear. Not that it really mattered. In the end I simply went for my new stripped oversized top, with highwaisted denim shorts and a baggy cardigan. Foot wise I went with my sisters old P.E pumps. It ended up being a tiring, but really enjoyable day out! I just can't sit down today!

Style influence: A.Olsen

A part of me is quite glad that the Olsen twins don't get much press when it comes to the rubbish birtish womens magazine's because I get so jealous whenever I see either of them. I love the simplicity of their style - Especially Ashley (not sure why as they're quite similar) I feel she is a bit more edgy. Either seen in tight black skinnies with oversized plain tee or statement piece worn with chunky jewellery... Urgh and I'm loving the messy locks (again) They just can't go wrong.
Can they?

Messed up.

I'm loving messed up hair at the moment. Mine is straight and flat. Never does what I want it to. I've started using Beach hair spray to give it some shape, but my roots are yet to discover volume. I might use a plat like this to 'poof' it up a bit.

Tuesday 9 August 2011

I know it's really bad with all the riots going on. And it's actually made me very angry and upset that we have people like this in our country. But I wasn't going to let it stop me from going into town. Where I live only a couple of shops had been looted, but it meant my shopping trip was cut short when everywhere closed at 3pm. This Sucked. But these were my purchases from today.
I avoided over priced Topshop and made my first proper trip into the dreaded primark... All the accessories are from there.
However my best purchase was definitely the leather panel skirt which I grabbed as the shop assistant was forcing me toward the tills. This and the Oversized stripe top from H&M.
Damn you rioter scum!

Pumped up kicks

Kicking back today. Suns in and out. These are my favourite shorts. Can wear them with pretty much anything! I'm a bit obsessed with my trilby at the moment. And it doesn't even fit me.... haha.

Autumn Wish List

Okay. So I haven't managed to keep off the online stores today. As much as I couldn't live without my laptop, it doesn't help with my shopping habit!
I've been looking for a neutral drape back midi skirt, and bowler/trilby hat, but can't seem to find the perfect ones anywhere... I'm trying my hardest to not have any spontaneous buying, instead search for and only buy exactly what I am looking for. Which, I'm not going to lie - is hard.
So instead, for now, i've created a virtual wish list instead.

Male inspiration.

Happy Monday! Yes it is the beginning of the week. And i'm still fussing over my photographs of my boyfriend. Infact instead of grabbing him at the last minute I thinking of planning an actual shoot (yes styling, location, poses all actually planned out!) And i've been looking for inspiration.
Whilst researching for some images the A/W 2011 trend of androgyny has come into mind for some of my own outfits... Something else to think about, which is always good!

Optimistic Trilby.

I haven't moved a lot today to be honest, even though I was optimistic with my outfit choice, then sun never did come out. I'm wearing the hat anyway...
I managed to drag my boyfriend out to the fields behind his house for a couple of snaps as the sun was going down. I do this to him a lot. 'Spontaneous unplanned mini photoshoots' when the lights just right. So i've been on my laptop photoshopping the images all day, as I havent had a lot of practice over the summer. If they turn out alright (and I get his approval) I might just pop them up on here...

Tea Table

So, i've just had my room re-decorated, and as i've got a mass of harper's bazaar mags from the past two years and a bit, I thought it'd be a shame to shove them into the back of my wardrobe (not that theres any room).
So this was my solution - a magazine bedside table... Let's just hope I don't spill any of my numerous cups of tea on my hard work!

Hi

I guess when starting a blog you're supposed to say lots of witty stuff... All I can say is I love my white shirt, I have lots of rings, and my hair never does what I want it to do.
I do believe (most of the time) that less is more. (Although i'm kind of a hypocrite when it comes to make-up!)
